Discussing Australia’s National Action Plan
One of the aims of the Annual Civil Society Dialogue is to support shadow reporting on the Australian National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security 2012-2018. The small group discussions on the day inform the Civil Society Report Card on Australia’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security. This year, participants in the Dialogue were asked to assess the government implementation of the NAP since the last Dialogue; share their stories of positive change in government, civil society or elsewhere; reflect on barriers and challenges to advancing WPS; and provide suggestions for the government implementation of the NAP.
This podcast is a recording of the small groups reporting back on their discussions and the closing remarks of the day. The small group discussions were facilitated by Dr Katrina Lee-Koo from Monash University. Closing remarks were delivered by Dr Fiona Jenkins, Convenor of the ANU Gender Institute.
